Richard Casino Review

Richard Casino is a lion-branded, emerald-and-gold online casino that launched in 2022 and has quickly become one of the more feature-packed offshore sites open to Canadian players. The headline numbers are strong – a welcome pack worth up to C$5,000 + 500 free spins, more than 5,500 games and fee-free Interac payments – but numbers alone don’t make a good casino. I spent time testing the bonuses, digging through the game lobby and checking the payment terms to work out where Richard Casino genuinely delivers, where the fine print bites, and how to get the most value out of it.

Quick Verdict

Richard Casino is at its best for slot players who like a steady stream of promotions. The welcome pack is spread evenly across five deposits, the 40x wagering is in line with the market rather than above it, and the five Fortune Wheels add something you won’t find at most competitors. The weaker points are the offshore licence, a live casino that is solid but smaller than the very top sites, and the lack of card withdrawals.

Richard Casino Key Facts

Who Is Richard Casino Best For?

• Bonus hunters: five deposit bonuses, three tiers of Tuesday free spins, a weekend reload, cashback and Fortune Wheels mean there is almost always an offer to claim.
• Hold & Win and crash fans: the lobby leans heavily into Hold & Win slots and instant games like Chicken Road and Aviamasters 2.
• Interac users: you can deposit and cash out with Interac e-Transfer, the method most Canadians prefer.
• Less ideal for: players who want a huge live game show selection, card withdrawals or a provincially regulated site.

Licence and Legal Status in Canada

Richard Casino is owned and operated by Metlait SRL, a company registered in Costa Rica (registration number 3-102-911867). The brand operates under E-gaming licence No. 0000064 from the Tobique Gaming Commission, while players connecting from Canada are served under a separate offshore licence that is being moved to Curaçao.

What this means in practice: Richard Casino is an international, offshore casino. It is not registered with iGaming Ontario or licensed by any provincial lottery corporation, so Canadian consumer-protection bodies can’t step in if a dispute arises – you would deal with the casino and its foreign regulator. Players in Ontario should stick to iGaming Ontario-registered sites. Also note that the casino’s terms strictly prohibit using a VPN to get around regional restrictions, and doing so can lead to winnings being confiscated.

Richard Casino Welcome Bonus: Full Breakdown

The welcome pack is worth up to C$5,000 + 500 free spins and is split across your first five deposits. Each stage gives 100 free spins, and every deposit bonus is capped at C$1,000:

The minimum deposit to activate each bonus is C$30, and both the bonus money and free spin winnings carry a 40x wagering requirement.

What Is the Bonus Really Worth?

The C$5,000 headline assumes you deposit a total of about C$7,334 – far more than most players will put in. So let’s look at a realistic example instead. If you deposit C$100 for your first deposit, you get a C$100 bonus plus 100 free spins. With 40x wagering on the bonus, you need to place C$4,000 in bets before the bonus converts to withdrawable cash. On a slot with a 96% RTP, the theoretical cost of wagering C$4,000 is about C$160 (4% of turnover). Since that is more than the C$100 bonus, the bonus is not a guaranteed profit – which is true of almost every 40x bonus on the market. Its real value is extra playing time and more chances to hit a big win early.

My Tips for Clearing the Bonus

• Focus on the 100% stages. The 1st and 5th deposits give the most bonus per dollar deposited. The 50% stages need twice the deposit for the same bonus.
• Don’t max out every stage. Deposit what fits your budget – a smaller bonus with the same 40x wagering is much easier to clear.
• Pick medium-volatility slots with a high RTP while wagering, and avoid games excluded in the bonus terms.
• Watch the maximum bet and validity period. Exceeding the max bet can void your winnings, and unused bonuses expire.

Ongoing Promotions and Promo Codes

Richard Casino’s promo calendar is one of its biggest strengths. These offers and codes were active at the time of my review:

The Tuesday free spins are played on BGaming and NetGame slots such as Elvis Frog in Vegas and Bonanza Billion, carry 40x wagering and must be activated within a week.

Fortune Wheels: Richard Casino’s Signature Feature

The five Fortune Wheels are what really sets Richard Casino apart. Make a qualifying deposit with the wheel’s code and you get a spin on a 21-segment wheel with free spins, cash prizes, a Secret Gift – and some “No Win” segments. Each wheel is valid for three days.

My analysis: cash prizes from the wheels only need to be wagered 5x, compared with 40x for free spin wins. That makes a cash hit far more valuable than the same amount in spins. The higher wheels raise the minimum prize more than they raise the entry cost, so if you were going to deposit €90–€120 anyway, the Elite or Diamond wheel is the better pick.

Game Library Review

Richard Casino offers more than 5,500 games for Canadian players, sourced from over 90 studios. The lobby is clearly organised into Top Games, New Games, Slots, Live Casino and instant games, and you can filter by provider or search by title. Most slots can be played in demo mode, which I recommend before you put real money on an unfamiliar game.

These are the titles that dominate the Top Games list – here is what to expect from each. The RTPs below are the providers’ published figures; always check the game’s info screen, as casinos can run alternative RTP versions.

New Releases Worth Trying

The New Games section is updated regularly. At the time of my review it featured Thor’s Rage 2 (Red Tiger), Freya 1000, Train of Fortune, Red Hot Chilli Chickens, Royal Rail Coins, Coven Rising, Obsidian Rush and Gravity Poker – a good mix of Norse adventures, Hold & Win slots and fresh takes on table games.

Payments: Deposits and Withdrawals

All deposits and withdrawals at Richard Casino are free of charge. Available methods depend on your region; for Canadian players the main options are:

Before the money is sent, each withdrawal goes through an internal review of 1 to 72 hours, depending on the method, whether it is your first cashout and whether you deposited and withdrew via different methods. After approval, e-wallets typically land within an hour, while bank transfers take 3–5 days.

Payment Tips for Canadians

• Use Interac both ways. Depositing and withdrawing with the same method avoids extra checks and is the fastest route for most Canadians.
• Verify early. Upload your ID right after registering – your first withdrawal is the one most likely to be delayed.
• Plan big withdrawals. With a €4,000-equivalent cap per transaction and €10,000 per week, large wins are paid out over several requests.
• Prepaid vouchers are deposit-only. If you deposit with Flexepin or Neosurf, you’ll need a different method to withdraw.

Customer Support

Support is available 24/7 via live chat and at [email protected]. Live chat is the fastest option for questions about bonuses, verification or pending withdrawals. For anything involving documents or a formal complaint, email is better because you get a written record.
